Description
- Gasenshi is a type of traditional Japanese ‘drawing’ paper used primarily for sumi-e (brush painting) and shodo (brush writing).
- The addition of bamboo and straw fiber makes gasenshi soft and absorbent
- These papers come to us from the papermaker folded in thirds and the soft marks are a result of this
- They flatten or iron out and disappear when work is mounted.
